The Thames Path is on diversion again between Greenwich and North Greenwich due to works on the river wall on the West side of the peninsular. The diversion will be in place until February 2018.
Both Ramblers' Inner London Area and the local Blackheath Group have written to the Highways Authority in Greenwich to stress the importance of the Thames Path in Greenwich, and to request that, if any part of the path can be re-opened before February 2018, then this should be done.
The walk between Greenwich and North Greenwich is one of the most popular sections of the path, and the diversion runs for about 20 minutes, taking the path along the very busy Blackwall Tunnel approach.
We do hope that walkers will not be put off from using the path whilst it is diverted - but roll on February 2018.
Please see the diversion route here.
