Joining the Ramblers' Association
Joining the Ramblers' Association has many benefits. For your annual
membership fee you will:
- receive your Group's walking programme, with around 50-100 walks per year
- be invited to your Group's social events and excursions
- be able to walk with any Group in the Area, and indeed the country, for no
extra fee — that's a choice of about 450 walks each week!
- be able to save money on clothing and gear with discretionary discounts at
many outdoor stores, including 10% off at Millets, Blacks and Rohan
- receive a copy of Walk Britain (rrp: £5.99) — the RA's
annual handbook including maps, photographs, contact details and
accommodation listings, many of which are discounted
- receive the RA's quarterly Walk magazine packed with gear and
book reviews, stunning photography and exciting features by renowned
writers
- if in your 20s or 30s, receive our younger members' Hike magazine
- receive South East Walker, our regional magazine
- be able to borrow maps from the RA's extensive Ordnance Survey library for
a very small fee.
