Work is being carried out on Harrow School playing fields but it doesn't affect the Capital Ring route as described in our walk guidance on page 8.
You can still turn right at the Capital Ring fingerpost to cross the drive and walk 500 yds following the row of trees to another finger post indicating a left turn across the grass to the kissing gate onto the Watford Road. However, if you find that the crossing of the drive is temporarily closed, it is not a serious problem - you can follow the alternative route described on page 9 using Public Footpath 59 to the Watford Road.
