Green Chain Walk: Walk guidance now published

We are delighted that our walk guidance for all 15 sections of the Green Chain Walk is now published on this web site.

Walkers used to the continuous circuits of the London Loop and Capital Ring can be uncertain about how to plan their exploration of the branching network that is the Green Chain Walk. With this in mind, we have also published an overview document that includes a map showing how the sections link together the 300+ green spaces that gave rise to the label 'Green Chain'.

The Green Chain Walk sections are generally quite short. In our guidance we have suggested possible ways to link sections together to create longer linear walks and circular walks.

Ramblers volunteers monitor all sections of the Green Chain Walk with the aim of ensuring that they are properly maintained and improved for the public to enjoy.
