Our walk guidance for the route of section 11 through Camberwell New Cemetery is correct at weekends - see page 6. During the week, however, the gate beyond the crematorium building is locked from 8 am to 4 pm. Fortunately there is an easy way around the locked gate. Walkers should turn right along a fenced path just before reaching the main gates that lead to the crematorium. This path winds its way for a short way around the garden of the crematorium and rejoins the signpost route just beyond the locked gate as shown on the map.
