We are delighted to report that the Cox’s Walk footbridge on GCW section 11 has reopened and an excellent job has been done.
The diversion mentioned in our walk guidance to GCW section 11 is now obsolete and the amendments are below.
In due course we will update the guidance but for now walkers should:
- Page 10 - delete the last two paragraphs.
- Page 11 - delete the first two paragraphs.
- Replace the deleted paragraphs with this text:
Cross the footbridge to find a large Green Chain signpost (grid reference TQ 34443 72813) in the undergrowth, this marks the junction with section 11a from Dulwich. Turn left and go forward for 100 yards, which can be muddy, to turn left again down some steps. Turn right at the bottom of the steps and continue straight ahead to the London Wildlife Trust’s shipping containers and the mouth of the 400 yard long Crescent Wood Tunnel.
