A walker has been in touch to let us know that the Berrylands Nature Reserve detour (described on page 8 of our walk guidance) is extremely muddy as illustrated below. The path becomes almost impassable about three quarters of the way in, unless you are wearing sturdy wellies. Be warned that walking boots won't cut it.
The side paths are all blocked as well. This walker had to turn around and go back.
