• Route: London Loop
  • Section#: 13

We are glad to be able to be able to report that the fallen tree has been cleared and that the route is fully open at this point.

……………………..

A walker has let us know that there is a tree across the path just east of the A404 Rickmansworth Road as shown in the image below. This is about half way between the start of the path near the white coal post and the crossing of an old track as described in paragraph 5 on page 8 of our walk guidance for this section.

We are advised that there is no way to go around the tree. It is too high to step over, and too low to duck under (unless you have legs like a dachshund or are a champion limbo-dancer). This walker just managed to squeeze underneath without getting muddy knees.

Our walker suggests that this might be a show-stopper for less agile walkers.
