A walker has kindly updated us on issues raised in previous news items;
(1) Access to Gilbert Island (problem reported 30 October 2022) - There are now no blockages. The route can be walked as in our guidance.
(2) Diversion at the roundabout at the end of Elstree Road (problem reported 07 April 2023) - All works have been completed works and so our guidance is spot on (i.e. keep to the south side of the roundabout).
(3) Overgrowths obstructing the paths (problem reported 20 August 2021) - (a) Between Colburn Avenue and Sylvia Avenue: Here the group walked along the edge of the field as it was obvious way to walk so cannot comment on footpath that was reported to be blocked by a fallen tree, nettles and brambles.
(b) Path south of Warren Lane towards Harrow Rugby Club: This was obscured by heavy undergrowth but is now apparently clear and walkable.
